“The Passing of Centuries” began in the summer of 2021, nestled within the breathtaking landscapes of the Val de Bagnes valley in the Swiss and Italian Alps. This ongoing project captures the indelible imprints left by water and weather on the ancient skin of these majestic mountains—a visual journey through the ages.
The lens acts as a window to the past, showcasing the gradual erosion and weathering of landscapes that have silently witnessed the passage of centuries. It unfolds as a meditation on the insignificance of human experience in the grand tapestry of existence.
Assembled over time, these images serve as a reminder of the transient nature of human existence. Through the lens, we bear witness to the narrative etched in rocks and contours—a story that predates and will inevitably outlast our brief sojourn on this Earth.
The project invites you to reflect on the impermanence of our individual lives, encouraging a humble acknowledgment of our place within the vast and ancient cosmos.
